In 1986, when Jerry Garcia awoke from a diabetic coma, suffering memory and motor skill loss, he was advised to take art therapy to help restore his abilities. His friends set up an airbrush studio in his home in California. He first painted the images he saw while waking up from the coma.

Jerry used large stencils and airbrush to create this piece titled FACETS I. I purchased this beautiful original Jerry Garcia 28”x23” offset lithograph in 1990.

The paper printed on is Coventry Ragcoat, printed in May 1990 by Robert Collins Lithography and the master was destroyed after printing.

Of this printing there were 500 signed and numbered, 50 printers proofs, 0 unsigned, total edition was 550 and no additional reproductions of this image were made.

Just below the image, the print is numbered on the left, titled in the middle and signed by Music Legend, Grateful Dead founder Jerry Garcia on the right.

This print has never been framed and I have stored it in a climate-controlled-smoke-free, flat-file drawer since 1990.

Print/image, #211 of only 500 is in perfect condition. This numbered, signed and titled print would be an excellent addition to any true 'Dead-Head' collection.
